Colgate University

I left Cornell today and I drove out a different way then I came in, which was beautiful. They have beautiful Gorges all around the campus with waterfalls. Then I started my drive East on good State Route 13. I cannot tell you how many dairy farms I drove by on the way, made me think of T-bone (Tim, one of my GHQ Alpha Pledge brothers) and his Texas cow loving self. IT RAINED THE ENTIRE WAY and it is still raining. I also came down with an ear infection yesterday and it has just gotten worse, if anyone cares. Every time I talk or eat it hurts, (except when I am asking questions) so I think if it still bothers me tomorrow I will go get it checked out. Tomorrow is September, that is crazy, the summer went by so quick. The guys who made SUPER TROOPER and CLUB DREAD are alumni from Colgate University and they are here tonight talking to students and showing SUPER TROOPERS, so I might go to that, sounds like fun. I saw gas today for $3.21, which is freaking ridiculous. They have a small campus here and it is very nice with old stone and brick buildings.

Cloudy Ithaca

Well it is a cloudy day here in Ithaca, it rained last night, I have been told by people who know what they are talking about that the Hurricane Katrina is going to affect the weather up here in New York. So hopefully when I leave here it will not affect the beautiful drive easterly. I GET TO GO TO CANADA FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 5 DAYS, well it is going to be fun. I will be in Boston this weekend as well and guess what the Boston Red Sox are playing the Baltimore Orioles and the only tickets they had left were 40 bucks and standing room only, which I guess I got kind of spoiled when I went to a Pittsburgh Pirates game last weekend when they played the Reds and I had an amazing seat in Center field and saw Ken Griffy Jr. about 30-40 feet away from me. So I guess I will have to play the 40 bucks, use eBay or find a Scalper to see the Red Sox, I am pretty sure it will be worth it. I am going to give the brothers at Cornell University (New York Alpha) a recruitment presentation tonight. They have an amazing chapter facility here, they got Honorable Mention for Chapter House of the Year (Large). The House is designed like a boat and was build in 1902 I believe. Ya and my brother just got back from Hawaii, he had to drop his girlfriend off at college, lucky guy, and I wish I had a girlfriend in Hawaii, I think I need to convince Sean we need to expand to Hawaii, and I have never been but would love to go. Well they are two great people, I am glad he got to go with her, and apparently she is buying a moped, which is really funny.

Cornell University

They have an amazing campus here, the Ivy League. The brick buildings were amazing, this awesome Bell Tower which is the oldest College Bell tower that is continually rung, is what I am told. Almost the entire campus has an amazing view of the valley of Ithaca which is sweet.

One of the Most Amazing Drives of my Life

Let me tell you about this totaly amazing drive I just had from Washington, PA (Washington and Jefferson College, PA Gamma), which by the way was a great visit, to Itch, NY (Cornell University, NY Alpha). I took rural roads almost the entire way, two lanes and me taking in the scenery. Right before I hit the New York border I saw a sign for a winery and I stopped at a winery about 5 miles out of the way, I sent some bottles home to my parents and brother, hope they like them. I drove through these beautiful green forests, over amazing bridges and rivers. I can only imagine the scenery once the leaves start to change. We do not have forests to drive through for seven hours in Nevada. I will submit photos of these great adventures once I get a digital camera. This was my first time to New York, which I was pretty excited about.
