Drive through New England

Another amazing Day in the Northeast, this is my favorite semester so far and I am only a quarter the way in, so much more to look forward to. Well I left Southern New Hampshire University this morning. Drove about an hour to University of New Hampshire, saw their rink, very nice. Then I drove two and half hours north to Colby College (Maine Alpha) and when I got there I wanted to see the school, then I found out they had a hockey team so I wanted to see if they had a puck to add to my collection and see their rink, then turns out there was a game starting in a half hour. So you know me, I stayed and watched the game. Great game against Norwich University, went to overtime and ended in a 3-3 Tie. I ended up getting a Game puck, so that was exciting. Well after that I went to University of Maine about a two hour drive north, thinking they were sold out I wanted to see the rink, well they were selling standing room only tickets, I was game for that. Then I found my way to the Zamboni pit and get about a foot away from the glass with a front row seat. Maine beat Boston College, 3-1, great game because BC was ranked #2. Well that was an awesome game, plus it was front row, great day for hockey.

Interesting Fact: The Starting Goalie for Maine, his parents (two women) were the first two people to get same sex marriage certificates (Union) in Massachusetts. So they were the first legally married same sex couple, I saw an interview with him and his moms and it was really cool to see how supportive he is of them and that they both go to all of his hockey games.

Well it was a great day, two hockey games, both great and I was freezing cold today in my flip-flops. When I left dinner I heard on the radio it was one (1) degree outside with a wind chill of negative twenty (-20) degrees, CRAZY. Well I drive to Boston in the morning, should be a great drive.

I love this job, even though it gets kind of crazy sometimes.

I saw a lot of these on I-95 in Maine, never saw any Moose, but they are some big boys.
